While removing the silencer ring in the turbo helps, the factory air box muffles it badly. The S&B filter is so much less restrictive than the bulky factory style air filter, you will be able to hear that turbo whistle from miles away.

The performance gains don't have to stop here, you can add a performance tuner for a quick easy 100hp gain. The Edge Juice with Attitude is an EXCELLENT tuner for you 5.9L Common rail diesel. It not only gives you the performance upgrade, it does it reliably and safely. With built in safety defuel settings, you can setup the parameters you want on the Edge, example. 1.200° on your EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures) is safe, you can drive around all day long at 1,200° and not hurt anything. 1,300° is not safe so you can go into the defuel settings on your Edge Juice With Attitude and set your EGT defuel at 1,250° and the tuner will start cutting back power if the target temperature is met. This is the safest tuner in the Diesel Performance Industry.
