BPD-EOC-BPOF-STANDARD-DUTY 6.0L Diesel Bullet Proof Engine Oil Cooler

The Standard Duty version of cooler is the right cooler for most 6.0L diesel trucks, such as the F250 and F350 (Single Rear Wheel). This cooler runs on most of the Bullet Proof Diesel fleet of 6.0's and keeps us cool, even in Arizona, even in the summer heat. However, if you have a DRW F350, F450 or F550 - you are going to want the heavy duty option. Even if you have an F250 or F350 (Single Rear Wheel) and you tow heavy or often with your truck, then the heavy duty might be the better kit for you.

The Cold Weather Kit serves just like a coolant thermostat for the Bullet Proof Oil Cooler system. It is designed to allow your engine oil to warm up in cold weather climates before it circulates the oil through the air-to-oil cooler. Keep in mind, the Bullet Proof air-to-oil cooler is designed to work in hot summer climates like Phoenix, Arizona. This means that it will work exceedingly well in Alaska in January. Good rule of thumb? If you think you might need the cold weather kit, then you should buy it.

The Bullet Proof Engine Oil Cooler is not designed for tilt-cab applications.

Please note:

If you have an aftermarket or updated A/C condenser you will also need to purchase the Bulletproof mounting bracket.

This bracket is required for mounting the Bullet Proof Air-to-Oil Cooler if you have a non-traditional style 6.0L condenser. This bracket can also be used as a stronger, heavy-duty mounting bracket for those extremely rough roads and trails.

Important note on Power Steering Coolers:

In mid 2006 Ford made a mounting location change to the power steering cooler. The power steering cooler on 2003- early 2006 models is in the lower position, at/near the bottom of the radiator. In the late 2006-2007 models, the power steering cooler has been located up near the hood latch, near the top of the radiator.

If you have the high-mounted power steering cooler, the condenser mounted BPD Engine Oil Cooler will require you to relocate your power steering cooler to the lower position. To do this you will need a power steering cooler relocation kit.
