If you are using your 6.0L Powerstroke for heavy hauling, you have realized like most of us, the factory brakes struggle to stop just the truck, let alone the truck a trailer, and a heavy load. We have used the SCT tuners with their turbo brake option. While it works better than nothing, it still won't hold a heavy truck back on a steep grade, and you can burn up a set of brake pads pretty quick if you are hauling daily. For years we have been installing Pac Brake exhaust brakes on our customer's 5.9L and 6.7L Cummins engines. They work awesome and really help them hold back a heavy load. This is even more noticeable on steep grades. Finally Pac Brake has released the PRXB remote mount exhaust brake for our 6.0L Powerstroke customers. As we are installing more fixed vein turbos to relieve drive pressure, more of our customers are looking for another option for exhaust braking.
