There are a lot of aftermarket parts that we install for our customer's here at Lead Foot Diesel Performance. Some of them just make things look a little nicer under the hood, but most of these aftermarket parts serve a purpose. They fix a poorly designed stock part that is prone to failure. The Dodge Cummins in-line six is well known for its smooth power delivery and engine longevity. Mishimoto has released an intercooler that is built to last, just like your truck.
Manufactured with robust cast aluminum end tanks and a dense bar-and-plate core.
This intercooler provides decreased intake temperatures, improved airflow and reduced pressure loss. With increased core volume, this intercooler can support substantial boost pressures and lower EGT's while larger than factory intercooler outlets increase flow.
For even more air flow consider Mishimoto's 6.7L Cummins pipe and boot kit. This pipe and boot kit can be purchased with the intercooler for a discounted price. Click here for details: 6.7L Cummins intercooler and piping kit
Included with this intercooler are four constant tension T-bolt clamps for consistent and reliable holding power. Also included are two DuraCore silicone boots. DuraCore's superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel and oil increases the life of the boots by preventing leaks and blow-outs.
NOTE
Disconnecting the A/C lines is necessary to remove the stock intercooler. It is recommended that the vehicle is taken to a certified A/C repair/service shop to have the A/C refrigerant properly evacuated before removing any stock intercooler components.
Relocation of the power steering cooler may be needed for H.O. (High Output) models.
